Stars for a Cause

Stars for a Cause is a Channel U variety show which showcase Local and Overseas Stars doing volunteer work and helping out whatever they can.

It is very touching and heart warming show. There are many good feedback on this show. After watching this show, viewers realized that they are so blessed and fortune in what they have now.

We should not take peace and good health for granted. We should help those who need help and we should do more charity works and show our care and our love to those who are not blessed and fortune.

Even the food, we should not waste it. As poor country do not have food to eat and sometime, they need to starve themselves. Or they knew their families is sick and need to send for treatment but they are too poor and they could not even able afford for the medical fees and they have to bear to see their families passes away.

Let us reflect in ourselves and should be satisfied what we have now and stop complaining.

Next week, Thursday is the last episode for Stars for a Cause at 2000 hours.

For non- Chinese viewer, you still can watch this show as it is included English subtitle. I hope there will be second seasons and it will release DVD for us to keep.

Quick recaps for F1

This year, 2009, Singapore is hosting the World's Formula One (F1) for the Second time. It is sponsor by Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel).

Singapore Station F1 also can known as SingTel Singapore Grand Prix or Marina Bay Street Circuit. Singapore is also the first country to host the Night Race and it is also the First Asia country to host the Street Circuit. The race track will be anti-clockwise.

In year 2008, Spanish driver Fernando Alonso driving for the Renault F1 team became the first night race ever in the history. There are many ways that SingTel Singapore Grand Prix need to be improve on for the Second Night Race and it could be better.

This year, The organizer successful improve the night race and it attracts many people be it walkabout group or the spectators group. There are many events going on inside the F1.

There are LIVE bands performance, more Food and Beverage stalls, more fun stalls and gifts stalls. There are many praises about Singapore F1 but there are things which need to be improve on will be the F1 Rocks Concert by LG. There are many complaints. Some like, the sound system and the F1 Rocks Concert should move to indoors. Even the racing tracks (road) need to repair before the start of the F1 race track.

It was quite enjoyable night as you could see the Singapore skyline, sunset, the building that shine in the dark and racing in colony building and the bridge, Singapore iconic buildings like the Esplanade, Singapore Flyer and Marina floating stadium.

How could you miss such a great view of Singapore while support your F1 team driver or watch the F1 race! I could tell you, you will have a great time enjoy it when you experience yourself LIVE and see it real.

This year, 2009, Lewis Hamilton won the First position in the 2nd SingTel Singapore Grand Prix! Many people cheers as he reach the finishing line.

Let us hope the 3rd Singtel Singapore Grand Prix or Formula One (F1) Singapore Station will be better and please bookmark my Blog as once the ticket out for Selling for next year, 2010, 3rd SingTel Singapore Grand Prix, I will be blogging to inform all the readers about it.

F1 Singapore Station Day 1

I went to F1 Singapore Station on the first day, Friday with my friend. We reach City Hall at 1630 hours and head to Food Junction for our meal before we went to the F1 Singapore Security Area.

After we had our meal, we went to the F1 Singapore Security Area and show our F1 Walkabout pass to the usher and scan our pass and went to Security area to check for security. Then, we went to the booth and got ears plug for ourselves.

After that, we walk from Raffles City to Esplanade then to Pandang to watch the practice race. We went to many areas. The sunset at Pandang really look greats!

Then, we went to the booth and get our drawing for free. It takes us about 20 minutes to queue. After the drawing, we head down to Marina Square for our dinner and went back again to watch the practice race.

I am so disappointed that my camera battery died off! Sigh!! We head down to Merlion park and I could tell you that area can see all the turning action but my camera could not work due to the battery!!! I really so mad!! Such a great action and yet my camera battery just died!!

Overall, it is great to watch the F1 race! I would want to watch it in the next year and it will be actual day! This is my wish for now~
