Circle Line Prelaunch

Today is the prelaunch of the Circle Line rail network before it official opening on 28th May 2009.
Many passengers are excited to be the first to ride the brand new circle line!

There are many performance line up for each of the Five Stations. The Five stations are Bartley, Serangoon Interchange, Lorong Chuan, Bishan Interchange and Marymount.

The circle line only consists of 3 cars train instead of the usual 6 cars train! The completed Circle line will have 29 stations. The entire line is underground and fully automated.

Serangoon Interchange which link to extising North East line is the longest travellator to be found in any MRT station in Singapore.

It is quite fun to be part of the historic moment to be the first to ride the train and see the entire Five stations of Circle Lines. The stations decoration is very unqiue!

But there are some weakness in the Circle Line.

1) The sound system in the train itself is too soft and could not hear it easily.

2) The train itself do not have the System Rail information where passenger could able to know which station they are now in.

3) The system information panel screen is too high and could not able to see clearly.

4) There are insufficient display of the station name compare to the extising line.

I hope once all the entire Circle Line will be open on next year all those weakness can be change. Please note that SMRT Circle Line will be official open on 28th May 2009.
